The epitome of minimalist design, clean pure lines and a quiet Swedish aesthetic, this Swedish Designer has always been somewhat of a Design Goddess for me. In collaboration with Ikea, the new line VIKTIGT keeps true to her clean uncluttered, pared down look, objects… Ingegerd Råman, September 14 – December 9, 2018 Sweden-Japan 150th Anniversary Ingegerd Råman (b. 1943 in Stockholm) is one of Sweden’s most renowned designers as well as a ceramic artist. While extremely simple in their colors and shapes, her glass and ceramic tableware features consistent, noble beauty and reveals the designer’s sincere viewpoint as a user. IKEA is launching a new limited handmade collection created in collaboration with Ingegerd Råman, a Swedish glass designer and ceramists, called VIKTIGT (which means important). And the important thing to notice is not big gestures, colourful products or overly decorative details.

Since opening her first studio in the 1970s, Ingegerd Råman has been one of Sweden’s most treasured and respected designers, celebrated for creating simple, beautiful objects to enjoy every day. ‘It was important for me to give the GLITTRIG collection a stylish expression that reflects the beauty of ordinary life,’ she says.
